These gels are superb. Fuelled 3 long runs now. 13, 14 and 16 miles and can quite honestly say they are fantastic. Getting in 90+ grams of carbs per hour is tough and these alongside the electrolytes are brilliant.
I will not be rushing back to beta fuel gels any time soon.

The consistently of the new GelX was perfect, neither too thick nor runny. Not only that, but the neutral actually tastes so good. Neutral GelX is the most refreshing, and highest performing gel I’ve tried. The increased electrolytes are a godsend. It had a pleasant taste and texture. As I have been recovering from an injury I haven't done any long runs, but I used a gel x on Sunday for a 5mile trail run.
No stomach issues. The only problem I had was actually opening the gel package.

The new GEL X is a really good product, I have used it on a charity bike ride recently (56 miles and a few climbs!) in North Wales. The gel is very easy on the stomach, and gives you a great energy boost. I usually use the raspberry mint flavour, but this was the neutral flavour which I found quite palatable too. 45g of carbs every 15 miles worked great for me.
The only downside I observed was with the packaging, I know the idea is for a slightly more robust sachet and for the tab to be retained when opening. But I found the sachet slightly hard to open on the move and when I did the whole tab tore off! So no benefit there then! Otherwise I will definitely use these again.

I liked the taste of this gel but the sachet is hard to open when running and when cycling had to stop to open it. I used 2 Gels in a 10k race yesterday one before the start and one about 5K and found I still had plenty of energy towards the end of the race. I've attached a photo of me opening the gel in the race!

Our new packaging is designed to hold up under extreme pressures, bottom of rucksacks, in vest pockets next to keys and other objects etc. It's built to last just like Kendal Mint Cake.

I’ve been a consumer of Kendal Mint Company gels for a couple of years. I use their gels for long rides whether road, mountain bike or on Zwift. Packing 45g carbs and having a decent taste in quite incredible.
I recently consumed 5 GelX on a 152km mountain bike ride (along with electrolytes and a couple coffee stops with food) and didn’t suffer stomach or wind issues which I had done with other brands.

I tested KMC’s new Gel X during a Gran Fondo, and it performed really well. The gel has a slightly fruity taste and a thicker consistency compared to the standard KMC Gel, with a solid 45g of carbs plus electrolytes.
I took it just before a challenging climb and felt a noticeable boost in energy when it mattered most. It helped me push hard enough to bridge back to the main group with a few club mates, which says a lot about its effectiveness under load.
Overall, KMC Gel X delivered reliable, sustained energy when I needed it, making it a strong addition to my ride nutrition.

Neutral taste is easy to get down, and the new formulation means less gels required for my long runs. The consistency is a little thicker in my opinion, but easy the take on and digest. The packaging is fine when dry, but was more difficult to open in the wet or with sweaty hands, so I will be putting them in my soft gel flasks instead.

Great taste and texture. Seemed to give me the boost when needed. Like that they say on the packet how many to take to give you the carbs you need. Packet a bit fiddly to open when running but if it’s a refil pouch then no problems.
