Marketing
Social Content & Athlete Coordinator
This is not a conventional desk job
One day, you could be filming an athlete on a Lake District trail. The next, you might be capturing behind-the-scenes footage at Kendal Mint Co, interviewing members of our community or turning a spontaneous moment into a piece of content seen by thousands of endurance athletes.
We are looking for a creative, proactive and highly adaptable person to work directly alongside our co-founder and the wider Kendal Mint Co team for three days each week.
Your mission will be simple:
Lake District / CA5, with travel around the UKPart Time
What you’ll do
- Capture engaging photo and video content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other KMC channels.
- Work alongside our co-founder and team to document product launches, athlete stories, events, training sessions and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Meet and film KMC athletes and members of our community across the Lake District and, occasionally, elsewhere in the UK.
- Help coordinate athlete meet-ups, filming days, content requirements and campaign deadlines.
- Build positive, professional relationships with our athletes and help them feel comfortable in front of the camera.
- Edit short-form videos, reels, stories and other social content using the software provided.
- Help write captions, develop content concepts and turn rough ideas into finished marketing pieces.
- Organise footage, photographs, permissions and content assets so the team can find and reuse them.
- Spot emerging content formats and bring forward ideas that could work for Kendal Mint Co.
- Help tell the real story of a growing British endurance-fuel brand.
What we’re looking for
- Creative, curious and full of ideas.
- Proactive—you notice moments worth capturing without always needing to be directed.
- Comfortable meeting, interviewing and filming new people.
- Friendly, respectful and able to build trust with athletes and customers.
- Organised enough to manage footage, schedules and multiple small projects.
- Reliable and able to follow through on commitments.
- Comfortable learning cameras, microphones and editing software.
- Able to write clear, natural social-media copy.
- Happy working both independently and closely alongside a small team.
- Able to travel reliably around the Lake District and occasionally elsewhere in the UK.
- Flexible about working days when shoots, athlete availability or events require it.
Why join KMC?
- Work directly alongside the people building the brand.
- Get hands-on experience across content, social media, athlete partnerships and sports marketing.
- Spend less time making imaginary campaign decks and more time creating real work that gets published.
- Meet athletes, attend events and capture stories from across the endurance community.
- Receive access to the cameras, phones, microphones and editing tools needed for the role.
- See your ideas move quickly from conversation to finished campaign.
- Help shape how a fast-growing British sports nutrition brand looks, sounds and tells its story.
This role has room to evolve. If you bring ideas, take ownership and produce great work, you will have the opportunity to make a visible impact on the future of Kendal Mint Co.
