This time, due to the distance, I decided I needed to change it up and opted for Kendal Mint after multiple recommendations. Used the gels, chocolate coated NRG bar and wholesome super food bar and citrus and mint isotonic drink on my recent 50k ultra and as part of my training. The minty taste on the gels and drink are refreshing and the products are easy on my stomach. The chocolate mint whey protein for a post event drink is also easy to make and easy to digest.

First time using KMC gels today. I have an ultra marathon on saturday and wanted to try before then ti make sure they were for me. I tried the citrus one and it was delish. Perfect balance of citrus and mint without being too overpowering. They are not so gloopy as other gels so texture was good for me to. I'll definately be taking the rest with me on saturday.

Even when fatigued and getting deep into the miles, I was able to eat the bars and get the gels down. The gels were so light! Did 37km yesterday running with the action pack. I actually looked forward to fuelling it was that good.

I ordered this pack to give everything a try! So far I have tried the oat bar ,the raspberry and mint gel and the chocolate mint recovery drink! I’ve never used gels before but this one was delicious and refreshing, easy to digest and definitely gave me a boost for the rest of my run! The oat bar was lovely and a good fuel for my run, and the chocolate mint drink was fab for post run! Thank you! Can’t wait to try the rest!
