Are electrolyte drinks useful for running?
Yes. Electrolyte drinks can support hydration, particularly in hot weather or for runners with high sweat losses. Water may be sufficient for a short easy run. During longer runs, check whether the drink also contains carbohydrate; an electrolyte-only drink will normally need to be paired with gels or another energy source.
